Industry Insider Review: My Day With The Bear By The Hemp Columns

Sleepy Bear sat down with The Hemp Columns’ own Jamie Boren to talk about her first Day Bear Experience, this is what she had to say:

As someone who struggles with ADHD, tasks that require focus can be extremely daunting – therefore, I sometimes end up avoiding them. Mustering up the mental and physical strength to just “do the thing” seems as if it should be routine. For example, a typical day for most: wake up, make some coffee, get some work done, run errands, clean the house, etc. Then there’s a typical day for me: sit on the couch thinking about all the things I need to do and do none of it.

I’ve been prescribed stimulants here and there, but they tend to make me feel agitated and anxious. Sometimes, they won’t even help me focus on the things I actually need to get done.

Me: Clean my room?

Brain: Nah, let’s go on a YouTube spiral instead.

Sure, stimulants are an easy go-to solution since it’s widely available and socially accepted. Regardless of it’s status, I wanted to try something different that didn’t come with anxiety-inducing effects and an undesirable comedown at the end of the day. That’s when I recently decided to give Day Bears a try.

Obviously, I can never turn down a good edible – so these immediately caught my eye. The bright packaging and the adorable bear on the front makes them hard to miss!

Did I mention how delicious they are? I had to restrain myself from eating the whole bag, but a part of me wasn’t opposed to trying.. that’s how good these Day Bears taste. They are gluten-free, vegan, low sugar, and made with natural flavors was a huge plus in my eyes.

Doesn’t it feel good to know what you’re putting in your body?

Being the cannabis connoisseur that I am, I like to dabble with and combine other cannabinoids that create different effects than just THC alone. This ended up being the perfect product to experiment with.

Here was my experience: I decided to try a bear right after I woke up in the morning to start my day. I felt these effects right away after eating just ONE.

For once, I didn’t struggle with starting a simple task. I sat down and organized my messy work desk that I had been putting off for months, folded the laundry mountain on my chair, and went out to run those dreaded errands – willingly.

The best part about my Day Bear experience was that I actually stayed focused on one task at a time instead of trying to do five others at the same time. I’m not going to downplay this, but all of that was a huge accomplishment for me.

I then took two more to get through the rest of my day since the max recommended dose is three bears. Let’s just say: my apartment was absolutely spotless and I got more homework done in one sitting than I would in one week.

The THCV gave me a subtle energy boost that motivated me to start my day. It didn’t give me those jitters that caffeine can induce. The fun combination of CBD, CBG, and CBC created an uplifting, yet clear-headed effect that kept me on task and helped me feel less tense. Who knew it was possible to feel productive and relaxed at the same time?

Long story short: I will now be considering this as my official goodbye to caffeine and stimulants. Good riddance…AND BRING ON THE BEARS!
